[Center for Family and Community Medicine, CeFAM]

Where patients are the center
With 200 part- and full-time employees, the Center for Family and Community Medicine (CeFAM) is the largest research, education, and development center for primary care in Sweden and among the largest in Europe.

Dynamic, patient-centered focus
Our real-world grounding is the most critical aspect of our organization. Almost all of us at CeFAM work part-time in primary health care–as physicians, nurses, psychologists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, or members of other paramedical professions. This means our research, education, and care development ideas germinate in day-to-day work with primary health care patients and personnel.
